I re-wrote my Hakodate entry cos I wasn’t satisfied with the collages, I felt they didn’t do justice to the beautiful place.. and so.. more pictures were uploaded!! here ~~~~ :p
Arriving at Niseiko, we got all excited!!! This is where we will be experiencing the heavy snow of our life!! Woohooooooo!!! W H I T E ~ my favorite color, is all I’m gonna see everywhere.
From the minute we alighted at the station… we see it’s snowing.
Lucy from our hostel, drove to the station to pick us up.. and it was quite a long way into the thick snow.. Checked in.. and briefly explained to us where to put our snow boots into lockers.. and free wi-fi access in our rooms.. the public toilets of each level.. and where we brush our teeth the next morning.. it’s so fun! Here is our double-decker double bed. Hehehe…
This is the wonderful WHITE view from our window..
Getting all hyped up…
You know what can warm us up? SAPPORO BEER!!!! Hahaaa..
We followed the map, and headed to the onsen.. it was a long long way.. and we were shivering! I think the cold weather drains our energy double-quickly triple-quickly.. oh my..
No photos of onsen! :p But this was my first experience ALONE!! I got so lost in there.. I din noe what to do at all in there. I cannot understand the Japanese instructions, and the o-ji-san at the counter didn’t look friendly at all.. so I went into the Female Onsen, Pail went to the Male Onsen. I was penniless, and I didn’t know I had to pay for the locker inside! Had to call Pail out to my rescue.. haha.. At my wits end, I asked for help, and lucky me! I met a very kind Amercian Chinese girl who offered to help me, she taught me where to get changed, and to lock my belongings in the locker.. then head to shower.. and I didn’t even know the onsen is actually at the basement level.. soooo shy to get changed in front of each other.. in a very bright room lor! Can you imagine I was standing around there, waiting for… dunno what! *blushes* Until I saw a group of very comforting o-ba-sans walking in naked, then I dare to get un-dressed! Obasan oso not scared, I scared for what~ LOL~~~
But I enjoyed my onsen.. had a chat with an old lady too. She said this was her best onsen in Niseiko! Wow.. so Lucy from our hostel recommended a good place to us. Haa..
After the one hour onsen.. we got showered and changed, and Pail was already waiting outside for me. Haha.. he was worried I might not enjoy, so he had a quick one to wait outside for me.. :p
See how heavy the snow is..
We saw a Japanese Dining Restaurant, and went right in… for DINNER!
Look at our refreshed faces after onsen.. I think our skin looked great, cos by now, already no more makeup on my face lor! Haha!
FOOD IS HERE~~~
Omgggg.. we really had a slow dinner.. enjoying the snow view outside… I thought it looked like a fairy tale mystical picture, what do you think?
Ta-da~~ the expensive bill.
Out in the snow again!!! Care for some Ice-kachang? 😀
Next morningggg….
Time to say bye bye to Niseiko…. and Hello, O t a r u!
