falling sick

As most of u know, I caught the flu bug.. Ergh.. and I missed my favourite run of the year… sigh. But to my surprise, the attitude of my friends/family have changed a great deal as compared to the intial H1N1 alarmed reaction… quite amusing….

First was my Bro..
Bro: “Going kitchen? Can help me fill up this bottle of water? Very thirsty leh..”
Me: “Ya.. but i’m down with flu! U sure u want me to touch your waterbottle?”
Bro: “H1N1?”
Me: “What if it is?”
Bro: “Then I’ll bring it to Hong Kong with me lor~~ fill up the bottle leh, thanks~”
*Continues with his X-Box

Then was yesterday.. time is about 10plus at night.
Odin: “See.. Yan’s eyes are red red.. watery watery liao..”
Yan: *rubs eyes* sleepy look
Odin: “..looks like FLU symptoms r on her!”
Me: *Stunned* “OMG is it me? is it me passing to u?”
Yan: *Welcomes with both arms* “Spread to me spread to me! i wan 7 days MC!”
Angie: “But there is no more 7 days quarantine!”
Yan: *Disappointed look* “Huhhhh…”

Ok.. this just happened.
Me: “heee i m sick lehhhhhh .. ”
Pail: “i wan to be sick.. can we aim for me to be sick by tis fri?”
Pail: “on bo.. ahhaha”

Visiting the Steakhouse & Dessert House..

First was dinner at Mariners’ Corner Restaurant.. wow, very ulu wor.. but it’s so old looking that it feels special.. hehee.. Pail brought me there.. mmmm.. a few tagwords I could think of to describe this place… “Cosy”, “Christmas”, “Sailors”, “Retro”… Hehe..

Mariners' Corner Restaurant

The food was not bad de worr… portions quite generous and waiters very friendly… u gottta try their potato salad lorrr.. Steak was gd~ but I prefer my King Prawns and Dory Fish.. hehee.. Hmmm pardon on the picture quality as lighting was a bit dark (that’s why the place is cosy!)

Mariners' Corner Restaurant

Again, you do not see much of me appearing. Coz this is what happens when it’s end of a working weekday, my hair is in a mess.. makeup is gone.. lol..

Mariners' Corner Restaurant

Oh ya, here’s the address and contacts:
120 Cantonment Road, #01-02 Maritime House
Tel: 6220 6572 / 6224 9928

The plan for the night is dessert house next! Specially saved some space in my stomach for DESSERTS~~ at Caramel Patisserie~~~ I realized for umpteen times, I walked by thise dessert place and say nxt time must go~~

1 Caramel Patisserie
6 Handy road #01-01 The Luxe
Tel: 63383282

While “studying” the menu.. hmmm everything looks so good, even the tea menu kept me busy for a long time~~ just black tea alone got so many choices!! Grrrrrrr… *CHOOSING DISORDER*

Caramel Patisserie

Honestly, despite saving some space, I felt comfortably 80% full already.. but once the desserts were served, I forgot all about it.. lol.. Lychee Rose for me, What’s his ah.. ahhh i forgot dessert name liao.. BUT VERY NICE lorrrrr… reaallly…. the waitress recommended it. Hee..

Caramel Patisserie

See this Pail~ he’s aiming other people’s desserts!! Haha! I’m contented with mine already!!

Caramel Patisserie

Plan of the night ends with Ice Age 3 movie.. second 3D movie of the year!! Haha.. Stylo glasses! Trust me, before the movie started, there were flash lights everywhere in the cinema lor!! Who says we are the only camwhores around.. lol

First Visit to Orchard Central..

yay.. finally we’ve been to Orchard Central.. though not all shops are opened yet, but still a few WoW factors that made us go WoW~~ lorrr… hehee… First of all, we dun really like the carpark! So high up that we have to go so many rounds.. there is not even a light by the side! Ergh… I am already all gidddy before we can reach the destination… Grrrrrr…

Ok, but there are still some innovative decorations la… you can even do rock-climbing in a shopping mall… that’s abit.. ermm.. >.<" Haa! Well, I loved the ceilings and walls lorr!! hehehe... in future when all the eateries and shops are open, there's gonna be MORE FOOD to eat in Orchard!! let's start looooking forwaRD to it~!! Hee..

OrchardCentral1

Hmmm.. walking around the mall, I saw tall tall escalators… we were even approached by Straits Times reporter on these escalators~~ Haha.. she asked on our views.. Hmm is it dangerous? I don’t think so la… I liked it lor.. the escalator lighting changes colour overtime!! Hahaha.. I guess with Orchard Central, ION Orchard and Paragon… Orchard Road is becoming the most electricity-consuming place in Singapore~~ 一点都不环保~ hahaa.. but honestly, up there at level 8, it’s definitely a nice view to enjoy at night!!

OrchardCentral2

Oh ya.. one thing to exclaim about is.. the MOS Burger!!!!! You know you know.. we are so excited to see glasses, bowls and metal spooons!!! Oh and a real basket!!! Soup tasted so much nicer in a glass bowl and from a metal spoooon!! Hahahahahaha…

MOS Burger

Next visit to Orchard Central.. must try Heaven’s Loft and Ootoya!!! Heehee….
sure gonna be a nice place for photo-taking!! 😀
