From Wikipedia,
Hachikō (ハチ公?, November 10, 1923–March 8, 1935), known in Japanese as chūken Hachikō (忠犬ハチ公?, “faithful dog Hachikō”), aka Hachi, was an Akita dog born on a farm near the city of Ōdate, Akita Prefecture,[1] remembered for his loyalty to his owner, even many years after his owner’s death.
This continued for 10 years, with Hachikō appearing only in the evening time, precisely when the train was due at the station.
Hachikō died on March 8, 1935. He was found on a street in Shibuya.[1] His heart was infected with filarial worms and 3–4 yakitori sticks were found in his stomach.[1] His stuffed and mounted remains are kept at the National Science Museum of Japan in Ueno, Tokyo.[
So~des.. if I have a chance to visit Japan, I sure want to take a picture with Hachi at Shibuya station!!!

I always think, it’s so lovely to have your dog sitting right at the door waiting for you to reach home from work every day.. Can you imagine your dog, finding his way out to the MRT station at the same time everyday, waiting for your return??? Isn’t that heart-warming??? it’s HAPPINESS lorr!!!! It will be such a joy to go home straight after work everyday!!! Hahaa..

Day or night.. Sunshine or Rain.. he’s still there waiting for you.. even when he’s old and sick, even when he knows you are not returning. Awwwww… *heart melt* His love for his owner is soooo pure and his loyalty is just soo unbelievably unfailing!

Oh man.. I got ready tissue in my hand.. I expected what is gonna happen… but still, I couldn’t hold back my tears at all. Even now I’m reading from Wikipedia, I feel 鼻酸, I want to cry lahhhh….. errghhh… I saw 2 girls in the ladies after the movie, with their eyes swollen and red-nosed.. lol. I saw men wiping off their tears in the dark cinema too.. so please bring tissue!! hee..
Nevertheless, do not avoid the movie because you think you might cry. It’s not a sad movie, I think it just melts your heart that makes you wanna cry. ALL DOG LOVERS SHOULD WATCH THIS MOVIE!! ALL DOG HATERS SHOULD ALSO WATCH THIS TOO!!! This is soooo different from other movies about pets, the pet didn’t die, the owner did! Oh man.. Hachiiiiiiiiiiiii… the young Hachi is mischievious and adorable, while the grown up Hachi is faithful and loyal.. and the old Hachi just melts my heart.
Once again proven, a dog is not just man’s best friend, he can be MORE than a friend…. do not buy a pet on impulse!!! we do not want to see more Hachis at MRT stations everyday~~~ >.<
