This part of the trip is all planned by Pail. Heee.. hee.. i love it! Visiting the Osaka Castle~~ the symbol of Osaka!
A bit of history and background…
My Man! ^-^
On a cool and relaxing afternoon, we see locals cycling in the park..
If you visit during Spring, you can see more of this, glad we still managed to catch a glimpse of the beautiful Cherry Blossom!! This is already the last few blooming sakura that are withering soon..
From far, we can see the sibeh glam castle.. there’s still a bit walking to do…
Reaching the 极乐桥. Reminding ourselves to “Don’t think so much, 及时行乐”? 😀
We are getting nearer and nearer to the castle!
Oops, I’m snapping pictures of the locals again! Hahaa.. what a happy family. Who say only Ang-Moh kids are cute, Japanese kids are just as cute lorrr~~ =D I think the locals love to travel within Japan themselves too.. how envious, we can never do this in Singapore. Sigh..
Under influence of 阿信《浪漫的逃亡》, we felt like getting an ice-cream cone everywhere we go.
抹茶味, 一定要吃的~ ^.^
Marley is trying to climb up The Greatest Stone Wall in Japan? 😀
The magnificent moats and the stone walls consist of numbers of huge stones and they are symbols of the solid defenses of the Tokugawa-built Osaka Castle.
Entrance Tickets. One thing about this trip, everywhere we go, we have to pay for admission. >_<"
Can’t understand? @_@ just look at the figuirines can le.. haha..
The re-constructed castle is now equipped with lifts to get to the 5th storey, but if you want to get to the top level, you still have to climb up 3 storeys! And there, you get to see the view of Osaka.
Ta-dah~ scenery from top level
They happened to be holding this exhibition at the ground level before we exit the castle..
*rubs eyes* What? Primary School Art? So Pro lorr!
Osaka Castle in Silhouette~
Stalls were opened by the roadside… selling little little snacks.. and games.. omg, this piping hot 鸡蛋糕 is superb in cold weather!
Walking towards the shrine… as usual, the standard procedure.
The huge bamboo containers are for the people to 求签.
And then tie them here.. we didn’t “play” with this lah, coz anyway, we won’t understand the Japanese wordings lah…
Lovely Japanese 御守 Charms~
One thing I’ll love to do is to buy one of these~! Always see them in dramas and movies, finally get a chance to get one! But we didn’t get it here.. we are waiting to go to more shrines in Kyoto. 😀
We found a new way of taking photo together~ when just two of you are on a trip, it’s always 我拍你,你拍我, or 自拍 of our big heads. Now, this is one fun way too!!!
I loved this shot.. when we were on the red bridge looking back.
Here, I ate my Best Snack in Japan, till date, I still miss it so much!!! It’s only sold on the way out of the castle, roadside stalls..
Sunny-side up egg, on a huge rice cracker, topped with mayonnaise and toppings of your choice… oooooo i’m drooling now again. REALLY Yummmmmy!!!!!
But.. I don’t know what is the name, can’t find it anywhere else too!
If you are also interested to visit the Osaka Castle.
The recommended approach to Osaka Castle is through Otemon Gate at the park’s southwestern corner. The closest station is Tanimachi Yoichome Station along the Tanimachi Subway Line and Chuo Subway Line.
The closest JR station to Osaka Castle is Osakajokoen Station on the JR Loop Line, a 10 minute, 160 yen ride from JR Osaka Station.

Back to Dotonbori, it’s already DINNERTIME! Look at my face, I’m starvingggggg…. haha.. but the restaurant is not ready for business yet, so we are seated at their door, waiting for seats. We specially picked this very old shop おかる大阪燒, it’s got 65 years of history! It’s located in a small lane..
Address: 日本大阪市中央区千日前1丁目9番19号
The Menu! Simple and Easy to read. Well, we want Okonomiyaki!
Drinks to go along… enough of TEA everyday, we decided to drink COKE! Haha…
Interior of the old restaurant
Waiting for our Okonomiyaki!
Step 1… Step 2… Step 3….
Step 4… Step 5… Step 6…. and EAT! YUMMMMY!!! Crisp on the outer layer, soft and melting in the inner layer.. simply lovee the cabbage inside! Soooooo juciyyy lah!
One special thing about this restaurant, they do mayonnaise art on every customer’s okonomiyaki. They even ask you what cartoon or picture do you want… hehehe… every staff is skilled!
Ohh.. Ohh… and we also order Yakisoba! The cabbage and sauce, plus the soba is soooo Q!! 鲜甜到爆~~~~~~
*burpz*burpz*
and so, we ended our Osaka short trip…
Will I go back again? Definite YES!! I actually loved Osaka!!
Next on Kyoto…. and I’ve got a very silly story to share with you all.
