Last Thursday, we met up after a failed attempt the week before. Haha.. this time round, Siewying gave 2 suggestions for the dining place.
1) Jap restaurant at Illuma (http://www.tsubohachi.com.sg/)
2) Shokudo at raffles city

I voted for choice (1) immediately. Haha.. and as usual, no one else replied, so we set the meeting place at Illuma. There are 3 restaurants under Tsubohachi, we picked the one with Ramen and Sushi, i.e. Ebisboshi Shotengai.

Our Dinner. We had ramen for dinner, a few sushi plates as sides.. and desserts to complete the meal. Never knew Steven loved Unagi so much.. Hahaha…

This restaurant had a special way of ordering. You know.. JAPANESE, they are always so innovative. Haha.. each table was given a “pen”, Steven said it looked like a thermometer. Hahaa.. their menus have electronic chips where u point the pen at your item, the pen will read it out, and u press Enter.. and Send in your orders. Hee hee.. I even made a mistake by ordering 3 Jack Daniels instead of 3 Hot Green Teas, lol.. cos the labels were side by side!!! But I’m sure I’m not the first one, cos the waitress came right over and told us we’ve made the wrong orders. Hahaa..

The Pen and Menu

Haha.. Steven was the earliest this time round, Followed by Eric, Me, Wendy and Siewying.. Amanda only came over after work around 8plus, Haha.. we had some fun teasing her, that we are not attending her wedding because we are going to Eric Koh’s. Then both Eric Koh and Amanda started to “hardsell” what their wedding dinners are going to offer us. hAHahaha… all the joking and laughter, and we decided to settle the bills and round up the night. Eric Lim then shown up after his dinner and beer.. -_-. I believe u can tell he had some beer from his behaviour.. we stood in circles again and again… until Amanda suggested why don’t we go over to 阿秋甜品 Liang Seah Street. Ahhh… MORE desserts!! Wahhahaaa..

lol.. i say our gathering like a last gathering every time we meet up. everyone is having more and more commitments as time goes by.. topics are no other than Marriage, Flats, Babies. No longer can we go 2 or 3 full cars of people. It’s always been Eric Koh doing the planning with me, then we will split the jobs to ask and liase with the rest. But sad to say, even when we send emails, no longer will we receive “mass-spam-mails” like before, the sender Eric Koh will normally have one or two replies, i.e. from myself and maybe Siewying, who’s the by-default-onz-gal. Rest of them say they are very busy at work, well, who isn’t? They do not even have time to reply a “Yes, I’m free” or “No, I’m not free” mail? Besides sending emails, we have to sms/msn them one by one asking for replies. Hmmm.. at least in d end, they still make it a point to come everytime lah.. I’m just saying it takes 2 hands to clap, Eric Koh cannot be the one sending out emails and waiting for no replies all the time. This is why I call it The “Last” Gathering. Haha…

I guess, there’s just a kid inside me who doesn’t wish to move on from the Singtel days.
