being clever and stupid (Part II)

Remember about the clever or stupid post previously, i did something really stupid this time!

k.. story begins when Angie was telling me how to make a cup of organic soya bean milk, not to fill the cup with hot water coz it spoils all the beans.. so i was taught to mix cold + hot water first… and stir the paste, and followed by hot water to fill the cup.

And bcoz of the stupid air con that freezes me to and extent, I felt like i’m sitting in Eski Bar without a jacket. To make things worse, my stomach cramp is working up in this cold air.. and on top of all these, my forever-not-so-clever-users are sending in not-so-convenient-requests and not-so-relaxing-deadlines.. maybe those could explain why I did the following stupid act? =p

Back to the soya bean, so I brought my cup and soya pack to the pantry, and cleverly filled 1/4 cup with hot +cold water.. then stir and stir.. couldn’t melt at all, so i add more hot water.. stir stir.. sip sip.. eh perhaps more hot water bah.. stir somemore… sip sip again.. wad the hell.. how come today’s hot water so cold ah.. then soon i realize what the shit i hv been doing. I’ve been pressing the COLD WATER button as the HOT WATER button. Get it? I’ve been adding cold water all this while! Only half of the first 1/4 cup was really HOT!!! Duhzz….

To Steven Koh, if you are reading this, ok i know i ‘m stupid lar… -___-“

"A Place Called Here"

One of the books from Cecilia Ahern.. but this entry is not about this book exactly. Perhaps I will write on it later on bah.. have been reading it last two weeks.. but haven’t complete it yet.. slow rite.. coz I wanted to pass time on the train, so I only read on trains lor.

Anyway, I suddenly felt like reading a chapter at home yesterday, and don’t really know why, this paragraph below kinda had some impact on me.

There was no such thing as a free meal:
Everything comes at a cost to others, most of the time at cost to ourselves.
Whenever something is gained, it has been taken from another place.
When something is lost, it arrives at elsewhere.

There are the usual philosophical questions:
Why do bad things happen to good people?
Within every bad thing, i see good, and likewise,
within every good thing i see bad,
however impossible it is to understand it or see it at the time.
As humans we are the epitome of life, in life there is always balance.
Life and death, male and female, good and bad, beautiful and ugly, win and lose, love and hate. Lost and found.

Impact? How? Haha.. I even dreamt about it! Though it was “funny” in a sense. Well, isn’t somethin that you will burst into laughter lah, but the fact that Stephen Chow appeared in the dream is funny enough, isn’t it? -__-” He appeared as the serious and poor daddy from CJ7.. explaining this philosophy to me, and sadly, Qi Zai reenact its sacrifice in my dream. Ok, whenever something is gained, it has been taken from somewhere.. or someone else.

Haha.. ok, time to wake up for work. Good Morning, peeps. =)

Feasting out again…

Photobucket

Hmmm… New York New York food was not really fantastic, both the ribs and steak didn’t leave me much impression, except that the serving is real HUGE. -__-” But anyway, it was a treat from Lui, so I din pay a cent. Heee…. thanks for treat though! *winkz*

Fish & Co. was much better~ realized they had a different menu! No longer just the default Seafood Platter for Two that I will only order, Woooooots~ much more choices! Ambience was great lor~ hehee.. btw, there is a Simple Life restaurant beside us, I breifly glanced thru their menu. To my surprise, it’s kill-people-put-fire kinda prices… $11.90 for a Nasi Lemak? I was telling lui, I wonder what kinda customers do they attract, and we saw OL ladies walking outta Simple Life… Hoho.. I still remember the Changi Airport Nasi Lemak.. I think this is what you call 一山还有一山高,一笨还有一笨笨!! LoL!!!

Oh ya! Realize something? It’s NOT jap food this time round!!! Ho ho ho ho ho….
