In fact, we didn’t plan to go to Otaru.. but we saw that we had some time from Niseiko.. so why not?! Ha! Took a train ride over and really kinda popped by.. a “been-there-done-that” kinda impromptu trip. Hee.. didn’t expect the heavy snowing and icing… A mixture of ice and snow, and melting ice grounds… made it even more difficult to walk about as compared to the snowing Niseiko… but all was worth, now looking at the beautiful pictures…. \u4e00\u5207\u90fd\u503c\u5f97\u4e86!!<\/p>\n

We had to take more pix in such snowing condition.. precious yea! Pail was carrying my LeSportsac mook bag, it was a tough bag leh! No zipper, so I tied a knot with its handles, and it survived all the rain and snow.. hohoho… *thumbs up*<\/p>\n

The coldness drained our energy.. we hid into a cafe, attracted in by the clear and crisp musicbox midis..<\/p>\n

Their menu had quite limited choices, this was what we ordered..<\/p>\n

Beautiful music boxes that incorporated modern designs… Ponyo, \u9f99\u732b and Spirited Away!<\/p>\n

The must visit place here… OTARU CANAL! I swear it was snowing so heavily, we can’t even open our eyes.. so we only spent like 3 minutes here. \u5230\u6b64\u4e00\u6e38!!!<\/p>\n

And off we go, back on the train.. to Sapporo! Japanese really creative leh.. look at the chairs, you can actually turn them front and back as you wish to face which direction! If you are travelling in a group, you can turn the chair face to face, then you are able to chit chat together… or if you feel like having some private space, turn it back to back.. also can!<\/p>\n

On the train ride back.. like I’ve mentioned, I slept thru most of them, but these were taken when I’m awake.. beautiful scenery yea?<\/p>\n
